I started very early, back in the 70s when I was little.

I was in the back of my mother's Vauxhaul Viva while she was trying to make a difficult turn across an intersection. Suddenly looking out the window I was struck with the question "How do we know all this is even real?".

So naturally, I asked my mum.

"Mum, is Life real?"

"I don't know and I don't care!" came the snappy reply.

And thus began a lifetime of searching ;-)

I think the reason we don't share our sorrow is because we know that focussing on the positive is for the best - i.e. we reap what we sow - although we do need to give some time allow the expression of grief and sorrow as well.
